Week 9 squiggle story

The Cake Shop
On the corner of Aliday road there was an old cake shop. Everyone got their cakes at that shop. There were cakes so big you needed a van to take it home, and some were as small as an orange. The funny thing was you could always find the cake you want, just like the motto stated: all the cakes you'll EVER need!

The shop was owned by an old woman, she didn't look old though. She always wore pink and blue striped baggy pants and a purple DANCE shirt. Her name was Miss Langer and she wasn't married. Whenever anyone walked into her shop she greeted them with a big beam on her face, as she was an extremely gregarious woman, and she always said goodbye with a depressed look.

One day a little girl called Emily skipped into the shop causing the bell to clang. "Hello, how can I help you?" asked Miss Langer.
"I have just come to buy some cupcakes for my birthday." replied shy Emily, "What do you have?"
"Anything you want!" replied Miss Langer.
"Well, some chocolate cupcakes with white chocolate chips and strawberry icing and hundreds and thousands, please." said Emily, extremely fast.
"Of course, follow me into the kitchen." answered Miss Langer. Emily hurried after her, and five minutes later she was hurrying out again holding exactly 69 cupcakes on neatly decorated, purple cupcake holders with aqua swirls.

On the way home Emily puzzled over how Miss Langer baked so fast. The next morning she went back and spent the whole day at the cake shop with miss Langer. She did this every day and at the end Miss Langer told her that she was a magic cake baker. When Emily got home she told her parents. All they did was smile, “maybe they knew all along .” Emily thought to herself, and skipped up to bed.
From then on Emily would go to the cake shop every day.

GTT Reflection

  • Why do we do GTT?
So we can share things that we made. So we can learn more about cooking and gardening.
  • What kind of foods do we make at GTT?
Vegetarian and no nuts. Different types of things and we have to exchange ingredients.
  • What do we want to see more of?
More time and stretch to year sixes. Kids can choose what to cook.
  • What do we enjoy most at GTT?
Everything but mostly sharing.
  • What do we find difficult at GTT?
Pulling out big weeds and getting the right ingredients.

Squiggle Story - Week 9

SKY'S SPECIAL LEGS
Sky was a pretty palomino. At a first look she didn't seem any different, she was just a normal golden palomino pony. But then you looked a little closer and you saw that her legs had dazzling white stockings up to her knees. That wasn't all though, if you looked at her hoofs they were as clean as pieces of washing straight of the line.

Her frog was different too, (no, not a jumpy frog, the frog is the soft, sensitive triangle on the hoof.) Sky's frog wasn't dull and dirty, it was bright, clean and ... gold! Everyone always stopped and gasped as she gracefully trotted down the street, her hoofs clopping on the tarmac. People would throw gifts at Sky and her owner, Lucy Beffit, so they were always abundant with pretty things. It didn't go to their heads though. There was always rich adults with lots of money trying to buy Sky, but even though the rich wanted to buy Sky for heaps of money Lucy wouldn't sell her.

One day Lucy and Sky were at the dairy, when Lucy went inside. Immediately a tall man in a pitch black crisp offered a mountain of money for Sky. Of course Lucy said no, she wouldn't sell. The walked out of the dairy. While Lucy was choosing what to buy, the tall man was stealing Sky.

He took her away to his mansion and showed her to his little girl, Ella. The little girl dragged Sky away to the stupendous stables. Meanwhile Lucy was in floods of tears. Her mother called the police and only minutes later they piled into the wailing police car, zooming to the mansion. The police got out of the car and demanded that Sky was given back. The man handed her over straight away without a fuss and apologised.

Sky and Lucy were reunited and always stayed together from then on. I love you Lucy. Thought Sky. I love you Sky, and I'm never letting you out of my sight again. Thought Lucy. And she never did!

Bog Writing-Week 7-The Silver Bridle

Once there was a girl called Alice Stephanie Rose. She lived in a big city with her Mum, Dad, and 2 little and big brothers. Alice didn't like playing with other children, she just sat on her own.

One day she decided to go for a little walk, she chose the steep mountain path. As she was walking along she stumbled over something silver sparkly. "Ow, what was that?" Alice wondered. She picked the thing up, it was a silver bridle.

She put the silver bridle on a humongous rock and pretended that it was a horse. All of a sudden a swirl of colourful, rainbow, magical mist formed into the shapes of Unicorns and Pegasises. She was amazed, and took them home to her stables. But magical creatures lose their powers if they are caged up, and that is what the Unicorns and Pegasises did.

Alice didn't like seeing the magical horses like this, so she sadly brought them back to the rocky mountains. She didn't forget them though, she had created a bond, and she wasn't about to break it. So she visited them every day.
